AGIS Anniversary Conference 2022

This session addresses an over-arching social responsibility challenge - that of addressing structural racism inherent in international education. This is intentional work requiring both personal reflection and institutional commitment to change.Personal stories of racism and discrimination are emerging from the international education community. Students, educators and alumni across the world are calling for leaders to develop their perspective on specific types of inequity in international education. This session will look at racism and discrimination through multiple lenses as we consider how to address it within diverse learning institutions. Elements of institutional change and the foundational skills we can use to educate ourselves and our communities will be shared.
