AGIS Anniversary Conference 2022

Attention language acquisition teachers! Ever wondered how to take language learning out of the classroom and into the streets or your students’ homes? Come and join me as I share my strategies for authentic language acquisition activities in our host country Deutschland. (FYI: These activities can be transferred to other languages in most cases as well.) Engage your students by asking them to cook a dish with their family, do a survey at the mall or ask some questions at the local bakery, just to name a few. In all cases, see how your students use their newly acquired language skills in action. This workshop will offer ideas to be incorporated into your classroom as soon as you get back. In addition to the suggested concepts, there will be some time spent brainstorming the participants’ ideas as well. So … what are you waiting for?
